Some briefs arrive as mood boards. This one arrived as a shot of espresso: Greko Espresso Bar in Amritsar wanted their crew to look the way their coffee tastes, bold, precise, a little electric.

Our answer was a palette of freshly brewed blues and blacks. Black polos and caps carry the Greko wordmark in clean embroidery, while canvas aprons in a saturated cobalt blue do the loud talking: one for the floor crew stitched with “Sacred Brew Crew”, and a barista apron with grid detailing that nods to the bar’s modern, geometry-led interiors. A cheeky “How have you bean?” across the back of the polo turns every order handoff into a smile.

A barista’s apron is a workbench you wear. It has to survive steam wands, espresso splashes and eight-hour shifts, and still look like the brand.

What makes a great coffee shop uniform?

After dressing coffee bars across India, our checklist is short but non-negotiable:

  • Fabric that works the machine. Breathable cotton or poly-blend polos under sturdy canvas aprons. Heat, milk and grounds are daily weather behind an espresso bar.
  • Colour with intent. Greko’s cobalt-on-black scheme makes baristas instantly findable in a busy room and photographs beautifully for social media: free marketing with every customer selfie.
  • Details that start conversations. Embroidered one-liners, name badges and cap crests give regulars something to talk about at the counter.
  • A system, not a costume. Different pieces for baristas, floor staff and managers that still read as one brand family.

The RestroCart process

Greko shared their logo, interior shots and a feeling; we returned fabric options, embroidery placements and mockups. After a sampling round, the full set of polos, caps and aprons was stitched in our New Delhi workshop and delivered to Amritsar, ready for service. That’s the same journey every client takes: brief → design → sample → doorstep.
