Why Ordering Uniforms, Tableware and Packaging Together Costs You Less

Most restaurants buy uniforms from a uniform vendor, menus from a printer, coasters from a merchandiser and delivery packaging from whoever the platform recommended. Four vendors, four interpretations of your brand colour, four artwork files at four different resolutions. The result is a restaurant that looks nearly coordinated, which reads worse than one that never tried.
Colour is the real problem
Your brand blue behaves differently on cotton canvas, on lacquered MDF, on coated paper and on a ceramic glaze. Getting it right is not a matter of quoting a Pantone number at four suppliers; it requires proofing in each material and adjusting. A single studio producing all four can proof them side by side. Four separate vendors physically cannot, because none of them ever sees the others' output.
Shared setup costs
Every production run carries fixed costs: digitising a logo for embroidery, preparing screens, cutting dies, making print plates, developing patterns. Spread those across one uniform order and they are a real line item. Spread them across uniforms, tableware, merchandise and packaging ordered together and they largely disappear into the total.
The saving is not the discount. It is not having to reprint two thousand coasters because they came out a shade off the aprons.
One reorder conversation
Six months in, you need forty more menus, a top-up of twenty polos for new hires, and another run of delivery stickers. With one supplier holding your patterns, fabric codes, dye lot references, embroidery files and print artwork, that is one message. With four, it is four projects, four approval cycles and four chances for something to arrive slightly different from last time.
What we hold on file for every client
- Vector logo files and approved crest variants for embroidery, print and engraving
- Brand colour references, with per-material adjustments
- Garment patterns and size records by staff member
- Fabric codes and dye lot references
- Thread shade numbers
- Approved physical samples, retained in our studio
You do not have to order everything at once
Almost nobody does. Most clients start with uniforms or menus and add categories over the following year as budget allows. The advantage is not that everything is bought at once; it is that everything is recorded once, so the tenth order matches the first.
